RANCHI, AUG 30: A 15-year-old tribal girl was gang-raped by four persons at an `office' room here on Monday night. The girl who worked as a maid for Bhuneshwar Sinha, a government servant, at his residence in Doranda, was "cajoled, taken to Ranchi town for a joy ride and brought to the one-room office of the Bharay Milap committee before being gang-raped there till midnight," said Ranchi SSP Gupteshwar Pandey.Although the medical report is still awaited in this case, the three accused - Sanjit Mahato, Manoj Sao and Charka were arrested yesterday and remanded to judicial custody this morning. The fourth accused Babu was, however, still at large.According to the FIR, the girl was raped by Mahato, Sao, Charka and Babu, in quick succession for over three hours. "After committing the crime they took me out of the room to the nearby school and released me there late at night," the girl said in her FIR.Next day morning she returned to Sinha's residence. Asked by Sinha's wife where she was the whole night, Kumari narrated to her the story of her gang rape. "We took her to the police station and made her lodge the FIR," said Sinha.Police said, all four accused were friends. Sao worked as a peon in the office of the committee, a non-registered body associated with organising the Bharat Milap programme on the day of the Dussehra festival. Added Pandey: "Sao had the key to this office. He opened it and inside its room committed the crime along with his three friends."
