The Todis left no stone unturned to breach the trust between Priyanka and her husband Rizwanur. The family even dug up a former girl friend of Rizwanur, Pompy Roy. In fact, Priyanka last spoke with her husband to question him regarding his former girlfriend.

“Rizwan was a good person. I knew him and shared a close friendship for about a year. We had differences and decided to part. But the issue is over, years back. I stay with my husband now and I love him,” Pompy told The Indian Express.

“I have not seen or met Ashok Todi personally, but they visited my parents. They wanted us to portray him in a bad picture, to which we refused,” she said. “After my name came up, I even had problems with my in-laws, which is justified. Please leave me alone,” added Pompy.

In a letter to human rights groups before his death, Rizwanur wrote: “On Tuesday, September 11, she (Priyanka) spoke to me for the last time. She told me that her father wanted details of my college mate Pompy Roy…Maybe my wife’s parents wanted to influence her that I do not have a good character…That was the last I heard of my wife”.
