TMC team to assess poll mood in constituencies

CHENNAI, January 4: A four-member election committee of the Tamil Maanila Congress will assess the party’s electoral chances in the various constituencies based on the votes polled by various parties in the last general elections.

Revealing this to media persons, S Balakrishnan said that the report would be submitted to party chief G K Moopanar for a final decision on identification of seats to be contested. He said the team would hold talks with its allies on seat sharing in a couple of days.

Asked about Rajiv Gandhi Congress chief Vazhapadi Ramamurthy’s criticism of TMC-DMK alliance, he said, "We don’t feel it is necessary to respond to Ramamurthy’s criticism. He is like a fallen hair".
