Three swept away in Kharar

KHARAR, JULY 13: Three persons, including two women and a child, were swept away while crossing a rivulet at Shekhpura village, under Kharar subdivision, last evening. The rivulet had swollen due to heavy rain.

The deceased have been identified as Santokhi (70) of Shekhpura village; Palsora resident Bhupinder Kaur (30), a pregnant woman; and Bhupinder Kaur’s 12-year-old son, Harnarayan Singh.

The police recovered the bodies today 2 km away from the rivulet and handed them to the families of the deceased.
