Gujarat and the rest of the nation are counting the dead in the killer earthquake that has left lakhs homeless. It will take days, even weeks before we get a clearer picture of the destruction. But now is the time to show that those who have lost their families and their homes aren’t alone.

At The Indian Express Group, we have always believed that it’s our duty to help those who need help. That’s why we are launching The Indian Express Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund (under the aegis of TheIndian Expess Citizens’ Relief Fund) with an initial contribution of Rs 1lakh.

You are requested to donate generously for this noble cause. The funds will be utilised to support relief and rehabilitation and the names of all donors will be published in the columns of The Indian Express.

All cheques/demand drafts may be drawn in favour of The Indian Express Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund. The donations are exempt under Section 80 G of the Income Tax Act. You may send your cheques to the nearest office of The Indian Express.
