THANE, AUG 2: The authority on environmental matters for Thane appointed by the Central Government, under the directions of the Supreme Court, has favoured the expansion and diversification of industries here, within the framework of the industrial location policy by adhering to the standards preventing pollution and hazards.
The report of the authority, published recently, has also given instructions to the Thane Municipal Corporation TMC and the industries to check the pollution level.
The chairman of Thane Manufacturers8217; Association TMA Pritam Ghanshamnani and its past chairman Madhav Joshi.
Ghanshamnani urged the State Government to issue the notification regarding the industrial location policy, now that the authority had favoured the industrial expansion.
