CHANDIGARH, Sept 24: A rally was held by Telecom Employees here today in front of the Sector 17 Telephone Bhawan to press for their demands.They threatened to go on strike if their demands are not met by October 15. Demands include restoration of Telecom Commission Authority, holding of screening test for all restructured cadres to absorb qualified officials in their respective cadres, said circle secretary, All India Telegraph Traffic Ministerial Employees Union. They also sought upgradation of pay-scales of linemen, telegraph men and wire men at par with that of postmen, besides other demands.
