With the election mood slowly overtaking the state, the ruling TDP and the main Opposition Congress are gearing up for action.

Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with the district party incharges today, finalising arrangements for the general body meeting slated for November 13. More than 6,000 delegates from across the state are expected to participate in the meeting which will discuss the ‘‘political scenario’’.

Party leaders said a political resolution would be adopted at the meeting but declined what it would be. There are, however, clear indications that the session would either authorise Naidu to take a decision on ‘‘early polls’’ or adopt a resolution favouring their advancement.

On the Congress front, both PCC president D. Srinivas and CLP leader Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy will leave for Delhi tomorrow to meet Sonia Gandhi and senior central leaders. Reddy said the ‘‘bus yatra’’, which was suspended to facilitate their visit to Delhi, would be resumed soon.
