NEW DELHI, July 15: Shastri Club and Tarun Sangha scored identical 1-0 wins over South India and New Delhi Heroes, respectively, in the DSA-SAIL senior division league at Ambedkar Stadium here today.

Five-time former champions Shastri’s lone goal came through inside-left Bhupender Rawat off a pass sent by Suinder Bisht in the 12th minute. For Tarun Sangha, inside-left Sandeep Das scored the all-important goal against N D Heroes in the 10th minute.

Shastri have recorded their third straight win while Tarun Saangha have four points. At JNS, State Bank of India held Ashoka to a 1-1 draw. Rajesh Joshi and Ranjit Singh were the scorers.
