SALEM, JANUARY 10: Tamil Nadu beat Madhya Pradesh 3-0 while defending champions Railways breezed past Uttar Pradesh in straight sets in their opening group league matches in the women’s section of 48th Senior National Volleyball Championship.

Results: Group D: Tamil Nadu bt Madhya Pradesh 25-18, 25-18, 25-14; Railways bt Uttar Pradesh 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.
Men: Group A: Railways bt Orissa 25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17.
