MUMBAI, Dec 4: The Reserve Bank of India has once again brought the two crucial portfolios of the department of supervision (DOS) and department of banking operations and development (DBOD) under one deputy governor — S P Talwar. RBI governor Bimal Jalan reshuffled the portfolios of the deputy governors on Wednesday following the retirement of R V Gupta last week.

The central bank has at present three deputy governorsY V Reddy, Jagdish Capoor and Talwar. Talwar was holding the dual charge of DBOD and DOS till Capoor joined as the fourth deputy governor early this year on completion of his deputation with the Unit Trust of of India.

Capoor was made the chief of DBOD as the Reserve Bank at that point of time felt banking operations and supervision should not come under the same head.
