Calling attention to all. A new phrase seems to have been added to parliamentary lexicon. Ever since Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee asked Kerala Congress MP PC Thomas to leave the House for indiscipline a couple of weeks ago, he has now started issuing eponymous warnings to other MPs tending to cross the line in the House. On many an occasion last week, the Speaker either said 8220;I will Thomas you8221; or 8220;You are close to being Thomased8221; and even 8220;Have you forgotten the Thomas incident?8221; The message is loud and clear: the Speaker will take any action to ensure harmony in the House and let there be no doubting Thomases.
