MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 2: Sun Famp;C Mutual Fund said it was planning to launch a scheme focussed on emerging technologies. The open-ended growth fund called quot;Emerging Technologies Fundquot; will invest in knowledge based sectors like information technology, media, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and biotechnology. quot;It is a high risk fund with high return potential,quot; Nikhil Khattau, CEO of the fund told a news conference. The fund will be open from February 4-24, 2000. The idea is to try and capture the higher growth rates, the higher profitability that these emerging businesses with leading edge technologies are likely to have,quot; Khattau said.
