Over a month after the state superseded ADG (Police Reforms) R.B. Sreekumar in promotion, the 1971-batch IPS officer has petitioned the Central Administrative Tribunal, alleging the government, including CM Narendra Modi, ‘‘was holding a personal and professional bias’’ against him. This, he said, was the reason the state denied him promotion to the rank of DGP.

In his petition filed through advocate Anand Yagnik, Sreekumar says the reason behind this bias was he ‘‘encountering the personal, professional, communal and/or political interests’’ of the state government while performing his constitutional obligations.

In his latest salvo, Sreekumar has annexed with his petition a typed version of his personal register, which he claims, contains ‘‘illegal’’ verbal instructions given to him by Modi and the top brass.
