PATNA, NOV 2: The two-day legislature party meeting of the JMM (S), called to decide whether to continue in the National Democratic Alliance after the BJP staked claim for the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand, remained inconclusive as the party supremo, Sibu Soren, left for Delhi to hold further discussion with NDA leaders.Talking to reporters before leaving for Delhi by a service flight, Soren said that the legislature party was firm in its resolve to make no compromise on the stand of making him the chief minister. He said he would talk to NDA leaders in Delhi during his four-day stay and if the party's demand for CM's chair was not accepted the party's national executive will sit here again on November seven to finalise its stand. In reply to a question, the JMM (S) supremo said that he would meet Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and Defence Minister George Fernandes to remind them of the assurance to make him Chief Minister of Jharkhand when they had taken support of JMM (S) MLAs to help instal a minority NDA government, led by Nitish Kumar, in Bihar in March.``If they betray now by saying that it is the natural claimant for the coveted post.we will have no options but to sit in the Opposition or exploring some other possibility to form government,'' he clarified.Soren said that he would also meet the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, on November five to seek his help in the matter.According to Soren's son and MLA, Durga Soren, and the party's legislature party leader, Stephen Marandi, the meeting remained inconclusive as the leaders wanted to give a last chance to the NDA to clarify its stand. They said that the entire legislature party stood solidly behind Soren for forming a government. They expressed confidence that the NDA leaders would ultimately make Sibu Soren new Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
