UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will arrive in Moscow tomorrow on a four-day visit which will see her hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and PM Mikhail Fradkov.
External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh will accompany the Congress chief.
India’s Ambassador to Moscow, Kanwal Sibal, told reporters that the ‘‘centerpiece’’ of Sonia’s visit would be her meeting with Putin at St Petersburg on Wednesday, followed by lunch hosted by the President. During her two-day stay in Moscow, Sonia is slated to hold talks with the Russian PM and address a function at the President’s Hotel, organised by the Centre of National Glory of Russia, a non-political organisation.
But first on her agenda tomorrow is a trip to Vladimir, about 130 km from Moscow, famous for its churches and monuments dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries.
