Soni misses PM date

When PM Manmohan Singh visited the Nehru Memorial Library and Museum last week in connection with an exhibition on Sardar Bhagat Singh, Culture Minister Ambika Soni, whose ministry is in charge of the institution, was nowhere to be seen. It so happened that the invitation card sent by the NMML had no mention of Soni8217;s name, in complete disregard to conventions and protocol. Soni was extended an invitation just like everyone else. Incidentally, this was the second time in just over a year that Soni was absent during the PM8217;s visit to one of the institutions under her ministry. Last year, Dr Manmohan Singh made a surprise visit to the INA memorial museum in Red Fort complex which had caught the Culture Ministry completely off-guard.
