Coloured HuesA group exhibition of figurative paintings will bring together the works of four eminent artists. Aditya Shirke, Ajit Budhihale, Mukta Avachat and Niranjan Mhamane will showcase their paintings at Indiaart Gallery November 27 to December 3. Just JazzAfter its recent affair with rock, the music circle of Pune is all set to go on a date with Jazz. The Ishanya Pune Jazz Utsav '08 offers a bouquet of musical treat to the Jazz lovers in the city. Bands from Canada, Norway and India will be performing live to regale the audience with expressive notes charecteristic of this particular genre of music. After Delhi and Mumbai, Pune has also become a happening heartland of Jazz after its inclusion in the Jazz Utsav Circuit. The utsav will be held on November 29 at the Ishanya Amphitheatre, 6:30pm onwards. Bouquet of ragasA kaleidoscope of musical events, greet music lovers of the city as Shishirbahar, a vocal recital by Maestros Suresh Wadkar and Devaki Pandit organised by Crescendo and Santosh Podtar Events, will regale audiences on November 30. Cresendo, which promotes fresh talent in the field of music is an organisation which has eminent tabla player Ramdas Palsule and the likes supporting it . Hindi and Marathi film songs, Natyasangeet, Bhavgeet and bhajans will be the highlights of this musical evening which happens to be the first commercial initiative of Cresendo it plans to utilise the funds generated from the show to organise programmes for newcomers in the field. The event will be held at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch and will see popular Marathi cinema actor Subodh Bhave hosting the show.
