CHANDIGARH, May 5: The skaters of the city had a feel of the Sector 10 Skating Rink, which was thrown open to public today, after a gap of four months. The Rink was closed due to renovation work. Most of the skaters, who turned up today at the Rink were school going kids. However, some senior skaters could not make it due to examinations.
There was not heavy rush today, but in a few days time it will pick up said one of the officials of the Chandigarh Sports Department.
Cycle rally
More than one hundred students from various schools are expectecd to participate in cycle rally, which will be organised by Gaini Zail Singh Adventure Club tomorrow at the Lake Club.
Ball Badminton team
During the just concluded Chandigarh State ball badminton meet players in both boys and girls section were selected to take part in the forthcoming National meet to be held at Allahabad from May 24 to 28.
Team Boys: Amit Bhalla, Rahul, Parveen, Vinay, Gurvinder Gill, Gurvinder Bajwa, Gurvinder Singh and Saurav. Girls: Jagdeep Kaur, Rajinder Kaur, Shikha, Shobha, Monu, Kanchna, Mohina and Rohini.
