PDFA selections tomorrow
The Poona District Football Association selection trials for the under-16 players will be held at the BMCC ground tomorrow at 5 p.m.

All players born on or after January 1983 are eligible for selection.

These trials are prior to the state team selections which will be held in Mumbai later this month. All the players who are interested in participating in the selection trials are requested to report to Rajesh Bhosale at the venue.

Players should arrive for the selection trials with their original birth certificates.

Aziz Shaikh bags carrom title
Aziz Shaikh bagged the invitational carrom title defeating Manish Deshpande in the final held recently at Patan (Satara).

The meet organised in celebration of the 55th birth anniversary of Vikram Singh Patankar saw a total of 16 players vying for top honours. In the final encounter Aziz Shaikh came victorious 25-18, 25-15.

Nitin Jamdar finished third.

However, Manish Deshpande took revenge of his singles defeat, as he paired with Nitin Jamdar to down Aziz Shaikh and Naresh Sali 25-18, 22-25, 25-24 in the doubles final.
