Under-16 trials

Carmel Convent School won the CBSC inter-school basketball girls title defeating Manav Sthali 26-20 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Loretto Convent beat Vivekanand School 37-34 for the third place. In the boys section, Chinmaya School beat JD Tytler 77-64 in a semifinal match while APS (Dhaula Kuan) prevailed over St Michael 88-64 to enter the final.

Ashish, James excel
Deadly bowling by Ashish (4 for 13) helped P&O Travels thrash TERI (Haryana) by six wickets in the second Duttu Phadkar memorial tournament, organised by Tata Energy Research Institute at Nehru Stadium.

In another match, General Electric humbled American Express by 156 runs. James Varghese contributed 43 for the winners.

Igipess downed Dyal Singh College (M) 30-25 in the Delhi University inter-college basketball tournament while Hans Raj College and SGTB Khalsa (E) got walkovers against Guru Govind Singh College and Dyal Singh College, respectively.In a cricket match, Kirori Mal College beat Satyawati College by 32 runs at Hindu College ground. Skipper Sunil Yadav was the main contributor (70, 3 for 19) for Kirori Mal.
