Hobart, Nov 16: Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar has been passed fit for the second cricket Test against Australia starting in Hobart on Thursday. Akhtar was in doubt for the match because of an ankle injury but has been cleared to play.
Pakistan physiotherapist Dale Naylor said: “He will play, believe me. He fielded on Sunday (against South Australia) and after that I used a technique where the injury becomes more sore for 24 hours but is then a lot better than it originally was.”
Pakistan are expected to name their side tomorrow. Abdur Razzaq is likely to be kept out as he is yet to recover.
