PATIALA, MARCH 25: Iqbal Dhillon, producer of Shaheed Udham Singh, a film in Hindustani, now being shot in the Central Jail here, today said the unit of the film would go to Pakistan on April 28 for a shooting stint of the film at different locations in that country. Talking to The Indian Express in Central Jail, Dhillon said seven songs of the film in addition to one `shabad’ rendered by noted ghazal singer Jagjit Singh had already been recorded. The music of the film was being recorded in England and a Pakistani company, based in England `Movie Box’ would release the music of the film across the globe.Dhillon, who has already produced several hit Punjabi films, admitted that several of his previous previous films, including `Tabahi,’ Sukha and Bhagawat had kicked controversies. He, however, asserted that only an anti- national could raise a voice of protest against his current film on Shaheed Udham Singh since he was portraying a freedom fighter in the film.
There has been hectic activity in the Central Jail here for the last week ever since the shooting of the film Shaheed Udham Singh commenced here.Raj Babbar, Shatrughan Sinha and Darshan Aulakh were among those who participated in the shooting schedule today.Dhillon said that besides Pakistan, the film would also be shot in England. The film would be dubbed in English also and released in different countries simultaneously.
Shatrughan Sinha, who plays the role of Mohammad Khan, a jail official in this film, said that he had a strong and meaty role.
