Sex CD: Sanjay Joshi no to post until cleared

Even as BJP president Rajnath Singh and senior rss leader Mohan Bhagwat have asserted their full faith in him, former BJP general secretary Sanjay Joshi, who had resigned in the wake of the circulation of cds showing him in poor light, has declined to accept any party post “till proved innocent”.

Joshi, who was here to attend the party’s national council meeting on Friday called to ratify Rajnath Singh’s appointment as party chief, categorically conveyed to the BJP top brass that he will not accept any post till he was proved innocent in the cd case which is being investigated by the Madhya Pradesh police, party sources said.

Joshi’s presence at the meeting fuelled speculation that he is likely to be re-inducted into the party when the new president announces his office-bearers in the next couple of days. —PTI
