Finally, a team of forensic doctors and officials from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory will be conducting a second post-mortem on the body of slain TDP leader Paritala Ravindra at his native Venkatapur amid tight security tomorrow.

According to sources, Ravindra’s wife Sunita and other relatives gave their consent for another post-mortem after consulting TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad yesterday. The post-mortem which is likely to begin at 7 am tomorrow is expected to be over by noon.

Ravindra was shot dead in the town on January 24 and his body was buried at his native village the following day. The CBI, which took up the investigation, was not happy with the way the post-mortem had been done. The agency wanted to ascertain the number of bullets pumped into the body of the MLA and their calibre as several rounds were fired from different weapons by the miscreants.

Over 500 armed policemen have already been deployed in Venkatapur and Ramgiri in view of the post-mortem tomorrow. Prohibitory orders have been clamped in Venkatapur and several surrounding villages as a precautionary measure and the police have already started checking vehicles on some identified routes.
