CHANDIGARH, Oct 6: The National School Games in athletics (boys and girls, under-14, under-17 and under-19) and badminton (boys and girls under-17) will be conducted by the Kerala Education Department at Trivandrum in the last week of January next year.

Announcing the revised National School Games calendar for 1999-2000, School Games Federation of India secretary general P S Chhabra today said the competitions in hockey (boys and girls under-19), cricket (boys under-19), badminton (boys and girls under-14 and under-19) at Delhi from December 23 to 28.

Chhabra said that the Chandigarh Education Department would host competitions in basketball, hockey (boys and girls under-17), lawn tennis (boys and girls under-17 and under-19, table tennis (boys and girls under-17 and under-19) and fencing (boys and girls under-19) from December 25 to 31.

Gujarat will organise competitions in handball (boys and girls under-14), basketball (boys and girls under-14). The SGFI will announce the dates and venues in consultation with the Gujarat Education Department.

Dates and venues of the lawn tennis (boys and girls under-14), table tennis (boys and girls under-14) and hadball (boys and girls under-14) will be finalised in consultation with the hosts Assam Education Department.

The revised calendar for 1999-2000:
Football (boys under-19) at Srinagar from Oct 12 to 17; kho-kho (boys and girls under-19) at Srinagar from October 22 to 27 and softball (boys and girls under-14 and under-19) at Jammu from December 7 to 12.
Hockey (boys and girls under-19), cricket boys under-19 and badminton (boys and girls under-14, under-19) at Delhi from December 23 to 28.
Judo (boys and girls under-14, under-17 and under-19), wrestling (boys under-14, under-17, under-19) and cricket (boys under-14) at Jhansi from December 10 to 15.
Kabaddi (boys and girls under-14, under-17 and under-19), kho-kho (boys and girls under-14 and under-17), basketball (boys and girls under-19) at Devas (Madhya Pradesh) in first week of January, 2000.
Volleyball (boys and girls under-19), kabaddi boys and girls under-19), cricket girls under-19), roller skating (boys and girls under-14, under-19) and boxing (boys u-19) at Moga (Punjab) from November 16 to 21.
Atheltics (boys and girls u-14, u-17, u-19) and badminton (boys and girls u-17) at Trivandrum in last week of January.
Football (boys u-14) at Dharbanga from November 3 to 7).
Hockey (boys and girls u-14) at Goomla (Bihar) from November 26 to 30.
Cricket (boys u-16) and football (girls u-17, u-19) at Calcutta from December 25 to 31.
Basketball, hockey (boys and girls u-17), lawn tennis (boys and girls u-17, u-19), table tennis (boys and girls u-17 and u-19) and fencing (boys and girls u-19) at Chandigarh from December 25 to 31.
Volleyball (boys and girls u-17), gymnastics (boys and girls u-14, u-17, u-19) in Maharashtra in the second week of January 2000.
Handball (boys and girls u17), basketball (boys and girls u-17) at Gujarat (dates to be announced).
Lawn tennis (boys and girls u-14), table tennis (boys and girls u-14) and handball (boys and girls u-14) in Assam (dates to be announced).
