The 4000-mw Sasan project, the first UMPP to be awarded by the government, has been mired by controversy after a change in the lead partner8212;Globleq Singapore being sold off by the parent company. Ever since the change in ownership and issues related to alleged mis-representation of financial facts, the Power Ministry has sought legal opinion on the matter, which is now before the Central Vigilance Commission CVC.
