SAD Haryana unit floats new party

The Haryana unit of Shiromani Akali Dal on Sunday severed ties with the parent party and formed a new political outfit accusing sad chief Parkash Singh Badal of “exploiting Sikhs in Haryana for his political interests”.

’Shiromani Akali Dal Haryana’ was formed at a meeting in Gurdwara Manji Sahib here attended by senior state leaders of the sad, including its president Sukhdev Singh Gobindgarh and chief general secretary Kartar Singh Takkar. In the meeting, the sad leaders accused Badal of ”dictatorial attitude and exploiting the Sikhs in Haryana for his political interests.’ —(PTI)
