Mumbai, Nov 22: The Stewards of the Royal Western India Turf Club, Ltd expressed their confidence that the six months racing licence granted by the Government of Maharashtra will be extended and issues including reduction of betting taxes will be resolved. In a press release issued today in response of a leading daily carrying reports about the `strained’ relationship between the State and the Club, secretary of the RWITC, BA Engineer said the news was `inaccurate’ and `incorrect’. The Club has had several fruitful meetings with the Government and the latter has been sympathetic and constuctive in it’s approach, the release added.
