Russia called for NATO today to take concrete steps to fight international terrorism, saying the time for concrete cooperation has come. ‘‘We realise the global scale of the threat of international terrorism and the need for close interaction in combating it,’’ Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff Gen Yuri Baluyevsky said at a Russia-NATO joint conference on military efforts to fight international terrorism.NATO’s Secretary-General George Robertson also said that with terrorism emerging as a global threat ‘‘Russia finally found its place as an indispensable part of the Euro-Atlantic community,’’ in the war on terrorism.
