NEW DELHI, DEC 25: BJP president Kushabhau Thakre today sought to underplay the RSS criticism of Vajpayee government8217;s economic policy and said it was not necessary that both should have similar views on all policy matters.
quot;BJP is not a part of RSS nor is RSS a part of BJP and minor differences in approach were due to their stands as two separate organisations8230;But this hardly mattersquot;, he told a private TV channel.
Regarding RSS criticism of BJP8217;s economic policy at its brain-storming session at Nagpur, he said the issue figured briefly during discussions over the situation prevailing in the country.
RSS never believed that government alone could bring about a change in the society and, therefore, its reference to politics was only brief, he said. Thakre said BJP members8217; reservations on the IRA Bill and Patents Bill was due to communication gap.
