CHENNAI, July 8: Mumtaj, the mother of Mohammed Ibrahim, a jail inmate who died in Coimbatore Central Prison on Feb 17, 1998 has claimed Rs 5 lakh as compensation for the death of her son and Rs 2 lakh as interim compensation. The petitioner had learnt that her son was stabbed to death by other prisoners, following the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts, for belonging to the Muslim community.
