Rashtriya Lok Dal activists, led by former minister Dalbir Singh, are on an indefinite dharna in front of the district magistrate’s residence here protesting the detention of zila panchayat chairman Tejveer Singh Guddu under the National Security Act (NSA).Guddu, who has been charged with assaulting noted environmentalist and Magsaysay award winner Rajendra Singh here last fortnight, had surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate on June 15 and was sent to jail. Two days later, the NSA was invoked on him.The RLD workers said they would intensify their agitation if the NSA was not withdrawn in the next two days.
