Supporters of J P Yadav and Ranji Trophy player Mohnish Mishra today nearly came to blows with the organisers of All India Manish Agnihotri Memorial Cricket Tournament as they were not allowed to play because of their alignment with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).

Both Yadav and Mishra were supposed to play for last year’s winner Arera Club against Lucknow at the local old Campion ground.

The players were present at the time of the toss. Around the same time, the organisers informed them that they could not be allowed to play for their association with ICL.

The organising committee convenor Jyoti Prakash was of the view that since this competition was recognised by BCCI MPCI and BDCA, those having signed a contract with ICL cannot be allowed to play.
