India’s Karan Rastogi and Yichu-Huan of Chinese Taipei lost the doubles final to Australian Open champions and the world’s topmost pair, Brenden Evans and Scott Oudsema of USA, 2-6, 4-6 in a junior grade-A tournament, at the Milano Tennis Club in Italy over the weekend.

Earlier, Rastogi and Yi played a marathon semi-final when they beat Mikhail Zverev (Germany) and Sergei Bubka (Ukraine) in a four-hour thriller 6-7 (8), 7-6 (2), 13-11, according to information available here.

Rastogi’s fortunes went against him in the singles event as well, when he lost in the third round to Argentinian eventual finalist Juan-Martin Del Potro 6-4, 6-1.

The International Tennis Federation team, in which Rastogi is the only Indian, plays the last warm-up tournament in Belgium before the French Open.
