PMK founder S. Ramadoss tonight sought to put an end to the controversy generated by his remarks against filmstar Rajnikant by citing PMK president G.K. Mani’s statement.

Referring to the statement, Ramadoss told reporters at Cuddalore that Mani had stated the PMK was prepared to face any legal action contemplated by Rajnikant. He said as far as he was concerned, the controversy had ended with it.

Meanwhile, fans of the filmstar today set ablaze effigies of the PMK founder at several places in Chennai, Madurai and Erode to protest attempts by PMK men to obstruct the screening of the actor’s latest film, Baba, police said.

Miscreants also set ablaze the house of the president of the Rajnikant Fans Association, Ibrahim, at Villupuram in Chennai. Police said over 25 fans have been arrested for burning effigies of Ramadoss.
