NEW DELHI, November 19: US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright today shared India’s concern over cross-border terrorism and categorically stated that the Clinton Administration was opposed to any mediation between India and Pakistan on resolving their differences.

She cut short her visit to India due to her pre-occupation with the Iraq crisis. She is on her way to Geneva to discuss proposals to break the impasse.

Churhat case

BHOPAL: Justice P Bhaskaran Commission inquiring into the Churhat Children’s Welfare Society was told today that senior Congress leader Arjun Singh had “nothing to do with the affairs of the society”.
