PMC durbar twice a week
Citizens can meet Pune Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal without prior appointment at his office at the Pune Municipal Corporation PMC headquarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm, said an official pressnote issued by civic public relations officer R R Phondge on Wednesday.
Workshop on education
Bharat Dnyan Vidnyan Samiti will organise a state-level three-day workshop on universal and alternate primary education starting on May 14. The speakers will include Dr. Vinod Raina, of Eklavya8216; in Madhya Pradesh; K K Krishnakumar, a leader of literacy movement in Kerala; and Dharmendra Shah from Delhi. Representatives of literacy movements from parts of the state will attend.
Agarkhedkar elected
Dr Sharad Agarkhedkar has been elected president of Pune branch of Indian Academy of Pediatrics. The other office-bearers are Dr. Vasant Dhamal, vice-president; Dr. Sandhya Bhide, treasurer; Dr. Anil Kukade and Dr Sunil Godbole, secretaries.
Theatre workshop
Progressive Dramatic Association8217;s PDA Bhalba Kelkar Personality Development Academy will organise a training programme for actors at Kalachhaya in Patrakar Nagar from May 14 to June 6.
