CHANDIGARH, Oct 6: Punjab University Campus scored 3-1 win over Government College, Sector 11, 3-1 in the men’s category in the Panjab University Inter-College (zonal) badminton tournament at the PU Indoor Hall today.

In another match Punjab Engineering College got a walkover from Government Medical College-32.

Ajay shines
Ajay’s unbeaten knock of 84 runs enabled Government Model School-27 beat Govt Model School-23 by 6-wicket in the cricket tournament for Chandigarh schools at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, today.

The 20th Chandigarh State Senior and 17th Junior kabaddi meet will begin tomorrow at the Sector 42 Sports Complex at 4 p.m.

TMS-29, SPS-41 wins
Tribune Model School-29 blanked Guru Harkishan Public School-40 by three goals to nil in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Cluster XI Inter-School football tournament at the DAV School in Sector 8 premises here today.

Ashish, Ranjit and Ajay were the goal scorers for the winner.

In another match Shivalik Public School-41 outplayed St Soldier’s School, 5-1. Neeraj shot thrice (not hat-trick) while Manvinder got two goals for SPS-41.

Sanjay Public School-44 also chalked out a 5-0 convincing win over New Public School-18. Harish got three goals while Ganesha and Kalarjit shot one each for the winners.

Haryana yoga
The 15th Haryana State Yoga Championship will be held from October 30 to November 1 at Mata Mansa Devi Mandir Complex, Panchkula. More than 500 participants from all over the state would participate in various age groups. Entry closes on October 20 with secretary Panchkula District Yoga Association.
