PSAC to conduct district level sub-junior athletic meet

PUNE, Feb 2: The Poona Sports Athletic Club will be organising the sub-junior district level athletic meet at the Kirkee Ammunition Factory ground from February 6 to 7. The meet is being held under the auspices of the Poona District Amateur Athletic Association (PDAAA).

The meet, which is being held in Kirkee for the first time, has seen a good response from Kirkee and Bopodi. The organisers are expecting the participation of about 2000 athletes in the meet. 500 athletes from the various schools and colleges have already confirmed their entry.

The meet will be held over a 200m track in the age groups of 6,8,10, 12, 14 and 16 years in the boys and girls categories. There are a total of 12 groups.

The fees per event is Rs. five, with entries being accepted for the last day today.
