The 1999 will of Priyamvada Birla is a fraud of the original testator and is full of ambiguities, argued former Union minister Arun Jaitley, counsel for the Birla clans.Jaitley submitted before High Court Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta on Thursday, that the 1999 will is written in camouflaged and deceptive language. Jaitley said Priyamvada Birla had been taken advantage of — describing her as being in failing health, not having had a formal education, and being ‘‘obsessed with her late husband’s dream of charity’’. The next hearing is on September 22.
