Sweden defeats Argentina in handball

Goalkeeper Johan Sjostrand saved 62 percent of the shots he faced to help Sweden beat Argentina 29-13 in Group A of the Olympic handball tournament on Saturday.

Niclas Ekberg scored nine goals for Sweden,which outscored Argentina 17-5 in the second half.

Sweden had already clinched a spot in the quarterfinals,while Argentina will play Tunisia on Monday to determine who advances.

Tunisia kept its hopes alive with a 34-17 victory over Britain to improve to 1-3 in Group A. Aymen Toumi scored 10 goals for Tunisia.

In Group B,Serbia defeated South Korea 28-22 behind five goals each from Alem Toskic and Ivan Nikcevic. It was Serbia’s first victory of the games. South Korea was eliminated with the loss,falling to 0-4.
