Somdev-Huey in semis of Farmer’s Classic

Indo-Philippine pair recorded 6-2 6-4 win in exactly an hour in quarter-finals of USD 619,50 tournament

Continuing their good run,Somdev Devvarman and Treat Conrad Huey moved to the semifinals of the ATP Farmer’s Classic with a comfortable straight sets win over Gilles Muller of Luxembourg and Briton Jamie Murray.

The unseeded Indo-Philippine pair,who had shocked the top seeds earlier,recorded a 6-2 6-4 win in exactly an hour in the quarter-finals of the USD 619,50 tournament.

They next face fourth seed Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram.

It could have been an easier win for the Somdev and Huey had they not squandered four out of five breakpoints in the second set.

Somdev’s singles campaign had earlier ended with a 4-6 6-7 (7) first round defeat at the hands of Ryan Sweeting of the United States.
