After a session studded with four high-profile wickets by arguably the two best bowlers in present day8217;s Test cricket, came the lull. The most entertaining batsman,MS Dhoni was on the crease, still the fireworks were nowhere to be seen. The post-tea session on Day 2 could have been well described as the calm after the Dale storm and then it struck again and blew away the Indian middle-order and tail.
Approaching milestones
Zero to hero
Now what could be said about Dale Steyn? He isn8217;t one of the best Test bowlers for no reason. Just when it seemed that he had done enough for the day,he came back, and how? From no wickets and rising frustration on Day 1,Steyn turned the game around for himself and his team on Day 2. India lost five wickets for 14 runs in last 29 balls. Out of those five, four were victims of Steyn. In all,Steyn has six wickets in the match and has made a good effort by India look pretty ordinary with his splendid show. Dale Steyn is clearly the difference between the two teams.
The silver-lining
The day began for India on a positive note with two batsmen approaching their respective hundreds. Soon, that dream was done and dusted by Dale Steyn. Even Virat Kohli could not hold his nerves and fell on 46. On a day dominated by South African bowlers,Ajinkya Rahane8217;s unbeaten 51 was the saving grace for the visitors. Rahane showed a lot of promise as he brought up his maiden Test fifty against the most fierce bowling attack in the world.
