Mega rich French club PSG (Paris Saint Germain) is reportedly set to offer a 35 million pound bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to replace a disillusioned Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is already seeking a move from the French club after less than a season.
Swedish striker Ibrahimovic, bought from AC Milan in July 2012,has already served three suspensions this season and is set to be the target of a 20 million-pound bid from Bayern Munich, which will be the eight club of his nomadic career if he finalises the deal, the Mirror reports.
Although United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had insisted that Rooney will be staying at Old Trafford following rumours of his drop-off from the club after he was benched for last week’s massive Champions League loss against Real Madrid, reports say that this is unlikely to deter PSG from making a bid for Rooney.
The Qatari-owned club, which is in the hat for Friday’s Champions League quarter-final draw,is ready to test Uniteds resolve to keep Rooney by making a big offer to the striker this summer, the paper added.
