A day after India handed over evidence to Pakistan on the Mumbai terror strikes,Islamabad on Tuesday said it was examining the material. "We have been given some material. We are examining it. There is no question of rejection or otherwise," Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik said on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Afro-Asian Rural Development Organisation in New Delhi. Malik made the statement while replying to a question on Pakistan's response to the evidence provided by India on the Mumbai terror strikes. Intensifying diplomatic offensive on Pakistan,India on Monday handed over to it concrete evidence about involvement of elements based in that country in the Mumbai carnage. India has also shared proof with the US,China and other countries. New Delhi said the unpardonable act in Mumbai was planned in Pakistan and Islamabad is under obligation,bilaterally as well as multilaterally,to hand over the perpetrators so that they could be brought to Indian justice. Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon summoned Malik on Monday to hand over the dossier containing evidence,which includes confession of Ajmal Amir Kasab,the lone Pakistani terrorist held during the Mumbai attacks,and other material.
