Nepal plans to introduce yoga in schools

Prime Minister Madhav Kumar said his government will take necessary steps to introduce Yoga in schools in the country.

Prime Minister Madhav Kumar on Wednesday said his government will take necessary steps to introduce Yoga in schools in the country.

Inaugurating an unit of Patanjali Yogpeeth at Dhulikhel near here,Nepal said,”Yoga is playing an important role in strengthening the communication between two countries.”

“Yoga is becoming popular in the country. We will take necessary steps to introduce yoga in schools,” he said.

On this occasion,the founder of Patanjali Yogapeeth,Baba Ramdev said,”We are planning to increase the number of yoga instructors in Nepal from 25,000 to 1 lakh and this will help in introducing the traditional Indian fitness system in the country.”

Earlier,on March 27,Yadav inaugurated a yoga camp at the Tundikhel Open Ground in the capital. Around 35,000 Nepalese people enthusiastically participated in the camp.
