MP police demand Rs 74 lakh for security during IPL ties

The Madhya Pradesh police have asked Kochi Tuskers Kerala to pay Rs 74.25 lakh for security.

The Madhya Pradesh police have asked Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) to pay Rs 74.25 lakh for security during the IPL matches,to be played under floodlights at Holkar Stadium here next week.

“We have asked KTK to pay Rs 74.25 lakh for security during the two IPL matches at Holkar Stadium,” Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Maheshchandra Jain said.

He hoped the newly formed franchise will not have problem paying,as it would recover the sum through ticket sales.

It is for the first time that IPL matches are being played in Madhya Pradesh. KTK has listed Holkar stadium as its domestic ground.

KTK will face Kings XI Punjab on May 13 and Rajasthan Royals on May 15.
