The Indian women continued their march towards a medal in the eight-nation lawn bowls tournament at the Nehru Stadium on Friday. While the women’s triples team of Pinky Kaushik,Tania Chaudhary and Rupa Rani Tirkey reached the last four by virtue of being the top-placed team after the final round in the league stage, the pairs team of Arzoo Rani and Manisha Kumari held their nerves to upset world number Malaysia 11-7 3-16 2-0 in the tiebreak.

The Indians beat Scotland 13-7 6-6 in the seventh round of the triples and will play England for a spot in the final. The other semi-final will be played between Australia and Malaysia. In the pairs,India take on South Africa, while Australia play Scotland.
