India continued their winning run in the Kabbadi World Cup by crushing Australia 58-29 to top Group-A here today.
Sandeep Surkhpur with 9/9 score was the best raider and Bittu Dughaal with 5/7 score was the best stopper for India,who defeated Italy and USA in the last two matches.
Meanwhile,Pakistan notched up their second successive win,crushing Spain 61-32 while USA trounced Iran 62-24.
Yasaf Cheema with 14/13 score was best raider for Pakistan,while Khalil Ahmed with 8/6 score was the best stopper.
Pakistan had earlier defeated Canada 47-38 in Sangrur and with this win,they have toped Group-B.
Earlier,Baljit Singh Malan,the raider with 11/11 was instrumental in helping USA beat Iran. Meek Seatle with 6/9 was their best defender.
It was the second win for USA out of total three matches played in this tournament. They had beaten Australia 47-43 at Jalandhar yesterday.
For Iran,it was their second consecutive loss,after losing to Italy 63-24 at Sangrur.
